Davison Donation
Club member Bob Davison and his wife Beverley recently donated $20,000 to the Rotary Foundation at the Tri-District P.H.F. Lunch at Rosehill Racecourse held on the 9th November 2009. They are pictured handing their cheque to John F. Germ, Vice President of The Rotary Foundation, who was the guest speaker at the luncheon.

The Club commenced life in 1987 as R.C. of West Pennant Hills. In 2003/04 President Brian Furrer agitated for the name to include Cherrybrook.
This was a contentious issue at the time and required two special resolutions before being passed by the members. This is why, if you have ever looked at the Club Banner, it shows an old building which was the store at Thompsons Corner. The logo on the 10th year anniversary booklet describes the store as the original store. I am of the opinion that there were previous stores. That said the store preceded the shopping centre that exists today. At least one member, Graham Cuthbertson, can remember the store. First and third photo ex BHSC, second photo ex Michael Sprott.

Our Club has again been Awarded a Presidential Citation, this time from 2008-2009 World President DK Lee for our "Outstanding Effort" to reduce child mortality and Make Dreams Real for the World's Children. The award was Presented to outgoing President Tim Bowland at our Club Changeover on 26 June 2009 by Assistant District Governor Roland Crook on behalf of President D K Lee. |

Best Website Award - 2009
Our Club was awarded the Norm Roach Award for the best website in District 9680 for the 2008/2009 year. The Award was presented to Club President Tim Bowland at the final District President's meeting in May 2009. Tim in turn presented the award to Club Webmaster Dick Bushell at the Club meeting on 2 June 2009. |
