President's Report 21st November 2016
What a fabulous night for our Foundation dinner at Teresa and Marc’s house last Monday evening. The food was delicious, the company great and the weather superb. I really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere as it was a great opportunity to chat with everyone. Thank you Teresa and Marc for all your hard work and Anne and Colin Sharpe who helped as well. For those who were unable to go, please see Bob at the desk to donate your $26:50 to the Foundation in its Centenary Year. Let’s make it 100% from the club!!
A huge thank you to Colin Sharpe, Bob, Neville and Ross for putting shelves into the container, courtesy of Telstra having a declutter!
It is wonderful that a group of our Rotarians are able to help support Operation Hope with its Carols in the Valley on Saturday 17th December at Vision Valley. Douglas will be leading a team cooking for a sausage sizzle for about 400 people. No money is involved but it will be amazing PR and promotion for our club. Thank you to Douglas and his team. Please contact Douglas if you can help.
The next meeting is a Youth night with our outgoing exchange student Anna receiving her blazer, 2 of our RYPEN ( Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment) students, our RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) participant Julian Savio and our own Sarah talking about the differences between Switzerland and Australia’s education! As well we hope that Graham and Judy Cuthbertson will be present to oversee the Pride of Workmanship award to the SAN hospital. This will be an outstanding night and a big one too. Don’t miss it!!
