Club's Child Protection Manual
Fellows
Attached to this email is the Club's Child Protection Manual, agreed to by the Board, that we are required to have by law. You are encouraged to become familiar with the requirements as stated in the manual.
As you would know by now this is a serious matter for all clubs and associations that work with children as part of their regular operations. This club has a big focus on youth with a significant amount put aside each year for our youth activities so it is an important issue for us. All members should by now have their working with children clearance, or be in the process of obtaining same. If any member is having problems with their applications please let me know.
The manual will be uploaded to our website (click here) and any future changes will be made to the website version. You will be advised when these occur.

President's Report 5th December 2016
The Annual General Meeting is over with many fellows putting up their hand to join the board for 2017-18 which is great to see however we are missing one vital position … President Elect.
Over the holiday period, please think about this position – it is an interesting job to have. You learn more about Rotary, you get to know people better, you learn about yourself and most importantly you are fulfilling a community service to help others! There are busy times but there are also fun times so please rethink your position. Remember you wouldn’t become President until June 2018!!
As this year is drawing to a close I look forward to our Christmas party on Sunday. We have two more events – DIK and Carols in the Valley and then we can relax and enjoy the Christmas holidays with our family and friends.
Thank you to you all for such an amazing effort so far in this Rotary year. I’m looking forward to what lies ahead – fun, fellowship, book sale, conference and club assembly to mention a few.
See you on Sunday!!
