The Garage Sale 2018
We have just had our best and most successful Garage Sale on the weekend of 13 & 14 October raising a record gross - north of $35k.
Excellent Project Management and a large number of dedicated volunteers, some putting in hours of effort, in the weeks before the weekend contributed to this result. |

Tonight a group of 19 from the Club attended RC Beecroft at PH Bowling Club. RC North Rocks and RC Pennant Hills were also in attendance. Together we listened to a presentation from Dominic Perrottet on how to assist people in the community.
Beecroft held a Book Sale last weekend and the distribution of some books to members was interesting to watch. Mark Anderson made a plea for support of Train Ride to End Polio on 24th October. I had previously agreed to for our Club to partner RC Beecroft in showing the film Ride Like a Girl. Johanna indicated that the date is proposed for Saturday, 14th September. (Please note “proposed” as no firm negotiation is yet to occur with Events Cinema - Castle Hill) The concept is that the cinema charge Rotary $10 pp and we charge Members, Partners and others a higher amount. I have suggested $30 pp. The plan is to sell 100 tickets and donate the profit to Foundation. This coming Saturday 17th is Trivia Night at Cherrybrook Community Centre. Come along and help us raise monies for Drought Relief. As is custom there is no meeting on Monday 19th. Rotary Rocks Keith |
