The Rotary Foundation transforms your gifts into service projects that change lives both close to home and
around the world. |
During the past 100 years, the Foundation has spent $3 billion on life-changing, sustainable projects.
With your help, we can make lives better in your community and around the world. Why should I donate to The Rotary Foundation?
Your donation makes a difference to those who need our help most. More than 90 percent of donations go directly to supporting our service projects around the world. How does The Rotary Foundation use donations? Our 35,000 clubs carry out sustainable service projects that support our six causes. With donations like yours, we’ve wiped out 99.9 percent of all polio cases. Your donation also trains future peacemakers, supports clean water, and strengthens local economies. What impact can one donation have? It can save a life. A child can be protected from polio with as little as 60 cents. Our partners make your donation go even further. For every $1 Rotary commits to polio eradication, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has committed $2. |
We are experiencing another drought with respect to prospective new members.
If you know of someone who would benefit from Rotary, or, from whom Rotary would benefit if they were a member, then contact Keith. Click here for a PDF copy of the form to the right, and send or give it to Keith.

President Colin welcomed District Governor Peter Ward and partner Anne and Assistant District Governor John Fenessy, fellow Rotarians and partners (Anne) and guests (Harry Zheng & parents Jing Li and Peter; and Maria Hinton). Harry informed the Club about his impending trip to the USA to participate in the international MUNA. It was pleasing to see 41 people present at this important meeting that showcases the club to the District Governor.
Business Items I congratulate the club on a hugely successful Garage Sale and would like to sincerely thank the many people and organisations who made it possible. o Neville for the huge amount of work he put into co-ordinating the garage sale over more than 3 months preceding, during and after the sale. His committee (Andrew, David/Jill, Tom, Colin/Anne, Joseph, Rosemary, and Tony Coote) who also put is a lot of work for many weeks before the sale. o Glenda who with her team of helpers spent many hours setting up the Guide Hall with the Bric-a-Brac and that included washing many of the donated items. Feedback from Glenda and Tony’s friend (Andreas) who helped with pick-ups and manning the Hall door is typical of that I have heard from other non-Rotarian helpers: Great result for bric-a-brac and overall. Shows you that your efforts pay off. I really enjoyed working with you and getting to know some of your friends. The Garage Sale on Saturday was good fun and I still can’t believe the madness in the morning. Happy to help out next year in October if needed. Thanks for sharing the club bulletin. Great pictures and summary. BTW … the club’s website is fantastic! User-friendly, not overloaded and looks very professional. |
