Empowered Women in Trades
Hello,
Reaching out to let you know about our upcoming Tool Skills Day on March 1st in Asquith. In partnership with nbnco, this program is about building confidence, and getting your hands on the tools to experience a 'day in the life' of a trade/trades-based job. The day will incorporate positive psychology, soft skills and of course learning to use some of the tools of the trade. Perfect for anyone looking to explore trades as a career opportunity, in a safe space. We encourage all diverse backgrounds to join us. Lower age limit: 17 years old (we have Working with Children Checks) Upper age limit: None We'd love if you could pin the attached flyer on your community notice board/send out, and please feel free to share with those who may be interested. At the end of the day there will be opportunities to apply for traineeships with nbnco, and also with other organisations and trades. The program is free of cost to all participants, however we do require an online application form to be completed here: https://form.jotform.com/EWIT/nbnco If you have any questions, please do email or call me directly. With thanks, Hannah |

What it takes to be a Rotarian
There are members of the community who may have some misunderstandings about what it takes to be a Rotarian.
We are always looking for new members and, in fact, it is new people joining that keeps us alive as a Service club. From time to time I hear people say things that make me think they don't consider joining or even visiting Rotary for all the wrong reasons.
This article is about the things you don't need to join Rotary, and the things you do, just in case you are not sure. The other thing you should know is that we are a very friendly bunch of men and women and we have a lot of fun, as well as achieving some pretty good things in the community.
