President's Report
- Hi all, on Monday night we had a very relaxed picnic at Lilian Fraser Gardens. We had some 30 people attend. Everyone bought their own food and drinks, and it was lovely to just sit around and chat. We even had two Rotary visitors from India join us who are visiting Sydney, Kumar and Renu Kirpalani. Thank you to everyone who helped with the setup.
Updates from past week: - Visioning: We have had only 21 entries to the Visioning. Thank you everyone who replied.
- BBQ at C3 Church on Sunday 10th Dec. Thank you to all who attended and helped and thank you to Colin for organising. We have donated $323 to C3 Church.
- Janelle & I attended the “Say NO to Domestic and Family Violence” Hornsby Walk on Wednesday 6 December. There would have been some 150 people attend the walk. Another very successful walk.
- So, looking forward:
- Presidents Long Lunch now at the Australian Hotel & Brewery – 1pm Sun 21 Jan. Email to come out in January with more details.
- We have a Vocational visit to UTS on Monday 29 January. Email to come out in January with more details.
- Tree of Joy (TOY) – The Tree closed on Sunday 10 Dec evening, but we know we will get presents dribbling in all week. Please remember it is sorting night at the Turnbull's on Wednesday night, 13 Dec at 7pm, not before. Some people went down to the Shopping centres even dressed as Santa and his Elf to help move more Baubles. Thank you to everyone.
- Hands and Feet and non-perishable food: This is going really well and thank you to everyone who has donated food.
- BNI are collecting more non-perishable food on Wed 13 Dec. Thank you to BNI.
- Georgia is flying out on Thursday 18 January for her year of Exchange in Chile. We wish Georgia all the best and enjoy the experience.
- Recognition:
- TOJ at Cherrybrook & Westleigh – Thank you to everyone helping. This has been a massive exercise this year with some 1,500 baubles.
- Janelle for her contribution to District through DFV and Youth. Another big week. Another Walk at Hornsby.
-
I would like to Wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and a safe festive season. Thank you to everyone for your contributions during the year, it is very much appreciated and looking forward to next year.
That’s it for the week so Let’s look after each other, stay safe and let’s do it.
