President's Report
Hi All, well it was a very good and busy meeting last night on Zoom and it was really great for Iisa’s parents (Karoliina and Alpo) to meet the Club. We had some 30 members and guests attend the meeting.
The main topic of the meeting was on Regionalisation and particularly Club preferences on the Rotary Community Groups. We used the technology of Zoom so the Club could have good representation into the process. I was very happy with the outcomes and now the Board will ratify this outcome before submitting to the Regionalisation Pilot before 29th Oct. Thanks everyone.
Updates from past week:

Neville discussed the importance of the Club considering Regionalisation, and in particular the formation of Rotary Community Groups. Tonight’s session sought input from members as to how we as a Club would like to be grouped with other Clubs. This process saw the Club undertake an online poll in response to 7 questions, the cumulative results of which, will be fed back to District to assist in the Regionalisation development process.
General Business
Neville presented a list of current activates coming up and for all to take note. Next Monday night is at The Vicar and the Rotary Club of Beecroft will be attending plus two speakers. Ideally, we need some people there around 6pm to setup the tables.

- Garage Sale customers are different from Market customers:
- only want to do Garage Sale not interested in Market Stalls
- If keep model, take full garage for Rotary next time
- Fundraising Committee to meet and review.

The Science Experience
Many thanks to Tony for the write-up, and photos from Anne, Robert & Tony C.
It was a real pleasure for Glenda and I to host Ella Atkinson and Tahni Bowmaker from Coonabarabran High School to attend the 3-day Science Experience at Macquarie University. They were lots of fun! We admired their energy and maturity. They had a very busy week with The Science Experience, a Turkish dinner at Newtown and an escape room experience on Thursday. Finally, the club hosted the girls for Dinner at Enzo's at Dural where we had a great Italian meal and a lot of chatter.
Their feedback from the Science Experiencewas very positive and it is definitely a programme for our club to support in future years.
Thanks to Cawas for making the trip happen and Colin, Anne, Janelle, Georgia and Iisa for taking the girls out for Dinner on Wednesday and Thursday evenings.

Sometimes it DOES take a Rocket Scientist!! (true story)..
Scientists at Rolls Royce built a gun specifically to launch dead chickens at the windshields of airliners and military jets all travelling at maximum velocity.
The idea is to simulate the frequent incidents of collisions with airborne fowl to test the strength of the windshields.
American engineers heard about the gun and were eager to test it on the Windshields of their new high speed trains..
Arrangements were made, and a gun was sent to the American engineers.
When the gun was fired, the engineers stood shocked as the chicken hurled out of the barrel, crashed into the shatterproof shield, smashed it to smithereens, blasted through the control console, snapped the engineer's back-rest in two and embedded itself in the back wall of the cabin like an arrow shot from a bow..
The horrified Yanks sent Rolls Royce the disastrous results of the experiment, along with the designs of the windshield and begged the British scientists for suggestions.
Rolls Royce responded with a one-line memo: "Defrost the chicken."

Where is God? ... contributed by Cawas
Two little boys, ages 8 and 10, are excessively mischievous. They are always getting into trouble and their parents know if any mischief occurs in their town, the two boys are probably involved. The boys' mother heard that a preacher in town had been successful in disciplining children, so she asked if he would speak with her boys. The preacher agreed, but he asked to see them individually. ... The mother sent the 8 year old in the morning, with the older boy to see the preacher in the afternoon. The preacher, a huge man with a deep booming voice, sat the younger boy down and asked him sternly, "Do you know where God is, son?" The boy's mouth dropped open, but he made no response, sitting there wide-eyed with his mouth hanging open.. So the preacher repeated the question in an even sterner tone, "Where is God?!" Again, the boy made no attempt to answer. The preacher raised his voice even more and shook his finger in the boy's face and bellowed, "WHERE is GOD?!" The boy screamed & bolted from the room, ran directly home & dove into his closet, slamming the door behind him. When his older brother found him in the closet, he asked, "What happened?" The younger brother, gasping for breath, replied, "We are in BIG trouble this time!" "GOD is missing, and they think WE did it!"
