NTA Donors Tour
The Rotary members on the donor’s trip to visit the Nusa Tenggara Association (NTA) operations in Flores have arrived in Bali.
Peter, Andrew, John & Tony have had a few days relaxation prior to travelling to Flores tomorrow.
We were invited to the Rotary Club of Bali Seminyak’s meeting last Tuesday and we greatly appreciated their wonderful hospitality.
Afterwards we had an important meeting with key Board members from Rotary and NTA to discuss support for our proposed global grant application for the water & sanitation project in West Timor, including the roles and responsibilities of all parties.

Hi Janelle
Yes, Tony arrived okay last night, and we went out today to the local upmarket shopping centre so he could buy some appropriate shoes for Flores.
Unfortunately, we went to a cultural fire dance this evening and a very naughty monkey pinched his glasses and mangled them!
Anyway, he managed to get the bits back, but one arm is missing. Luckily, he has another spare pair back at the hotel.
Off tomorrow to Maumere on 11.05am flight via Kupang (West Timor).
Regards
Andrew

What it takes to be a Rotarian
There are members of the community who may have some misunderstandings about what it takes to be a Rotarian.
We are always looking for new members and, in fact, it is new people joining that keeps us alive as a Service club. From time to time I hear people say things that make me think they don't consider joining or even visiting Rotary for all the wrong reasons.
This article is about the things you don't need to join Rotary, and the things you do, just in case you are not sure. The other thing you should know is that we are a very friendly bunch of men and women and we have a lot of fun, as well as achieving some pretty good things in the community.
