Kerry and Ros at SOKS
On Monday 6 March Kerry Mann and Ros Hogan were amongst 180 attendees at the SOKS (Save Our Kids from Suicide) Benefactors and Beneficiaries night hosted by the Rotary Club of Gosford North at Doylos on the Central Coast.
The evening was designed for SOKS to thank their benefactors and showcase the beneficiaries of the SOKS project and at the same time celebrate the work that Gosford North Rotary and their partner in the SOKS project, Lifeline, have achieved in saving and enhancing the lives of young people on the Central Coast. SOKS was set up 10 years ago and to date, they have saved 900 lives.
About 10 students sponsored by Gosford North Rotary spoke about their experiences at the recent Science Expo and we heard presentations from young adults who attended Rotary’s Leadership programs.
It was a great night.

What it takes to be a Rotarian
There are members of the community who may have some misunderstandings about what it takes to be a Rotarian.
We are always looking for new members and, in fact, it is new people joining that keeps us alive as a Service club. From time to time I hear people say things that make me think they don't consider joining or even visiting Rotary for all the wrong reasons.
This article is about the things you don't need to join Rotary, and the things you do, just in case you are not sure. The other thing you should know is that we are a very friendly bunch of men and women and we have a lot of fun, as well as achieving some pretty good things in the community.
