And then Janelle who has been a tireless Ambassador for our club won the Services to Rotary award. Congratulations Janelle.
Carol welcomed in a new Rotary Year and with agreement of the members it was decided that 10 should again be our new Goal for new members this coming year. However, members were reminded that it is not only the job of the Membership Director to recruit, but every member also has a responsibility to be looking out for people with the right mindset to be a Rotarian ie Community minded. A vibrant active club like ours is a place people want to be.
She encouraged members to be involved in seeking out new potential members and invited open conversation as to where and who we might invite to come along to a Rotary meeting and to see if they like the environment, and in turn we to decide if they are a good fit to our membership.

We are-SPEECHLESS,
Government-is CLUELESS,
And our Politicians-are WORTHLESS!
I'm scared -
Only in This World ......do we leave cars worth thousands of dollars in the driveway and put our useless junk in the garage. 🤷 ️
Only in This World ......do drugstores make the sick walk all the way to the back of the Store to get their prescriptions while healthy people can buy cigarettes at the front. 🤷 ️
Only in This World.....do people order double cheeseburgers, large fries, and a diet Coke.. 🤷 ️
Only in This World....do banks leave vault doors open and then chain the pens to the counters.. 🤷 ️
Only in This World ..........do we buy hot dogs in packages of ten and buns in Packages of eight.. 🤷 ️
Only in This World .....do they have drive-up ATM machines with Braille lettering. 🤷 ️
EVER WONDER
Why the sun lightens our hair, but darkens our skin ❓❓ 🤷 ️
Why don't you ever see the Headline 'Psychic Wins Lottery' ❓❓ 🤷 ️
Why is 'abbreviated' such a long word ❓❓ 🤷 ️
Why is lemon juice made with artificial flavor, and dishwashing liquid made with real lemons ❓❓🤷 ️
Why is the man who invests all your money called a broker 🤷❓
Why is the time of day with the slowest traffic called rush hour 🤷❓
Why isn't there mouse-flavored cat food 🤷❓ ️
Why do they sterilize the needle for lethal injections 🤷❓ ️
Why didn't Noah swat those two mosquitoes 🤷 ️
You know that Indestructible black box that is used on airplanes? Why don't they make the whole plane out of that stuff 🤷❓ !! ️
If con is the opposite of Pro, is Congress the opposite of progress 🤷❓ ️
If flying is so Safe, why do they call the airport the terminal 🤷 ❓

Understanding Engineers ... contributed by Tony C
Interesting Collection ... contributed by CawasMarket ResearchA man doing market research for the Vaseline Company knocked at the door and was greeted by a young woman with three small children running around at her feet. “I’m doing some research for Vaseline. Have you ever used the product?”
She said, “Yes. My husband and I use it all the time.” “If you don’t mind my asking,” he said, “what do you use it for?” “We use it when we make love,” she said. The researcher was a little taken aback. “Usually people lie to me and say they use it on a child’s bicycle chain or to help with a gate hinge. But, in fact, I know that most people do use it for sex. I admire you for your honesty. Since you’ve been so frank so far, can you tell me exactly HOW you use it?” The woman said, “I don’t mind telling you at all. My husband and I put it on the doorknob, and it keeps the kids out.” What were you thinking ....... VacationA woman went on vacation, leaving her husband behind. Before she left, she told him to take extra special care of her cat.
The next day she called her husband and asked if the cat was all right. Her husband said: The cat just died. She burst into tears and said: How could you be so blunt? Why couldn't you have broken the news gradually! Today, you could have said that it was playing on the roof; tomorrow, you could have said that it fell off and had broken its leg; then on the third day, you could have said that the poor thing had passed away in the night. You could have been more sensitive about the whole thing. By the way, how is my mom? Husband: She is playing on the roof. |
